A Homebuyer Education Class takes place at Fort Lewis College from 8:30 to 4:30 on Saturday, April 11th. Topics covered include Budgeting, Real Estate, Mortgage Lending, Insurance, and Inspections. Homesfund.org has more information.

The Jicarilla Mustang Heritage Alliance will host a Tack Sale & Fundraiser from 9 until 3 on Saturday, April 11th at 595 South Bloomfield Boulevard. Proceeds go to their work with Wild horses, doing fertility control and rehoming mustangs.
Items include Western and English, Saddles, blankets, fly sheets, fly masks, halters, and much more.
Community Family Yoga
The Animas Valley Grange will participate in a tour of the Montezuma Orchard Project's Orchard Hub in Dolores, on Saturday, April 11th, from 10 until noon. The tour is open to the public as well.Details are at montezumaorchard.org.
The tour will feature the juicing facility and the re-established heritage orchard, with insights into SW Colorado’s fruit-growing history, as well as its present and future potential.
This tour is free. Those wanting to carpool should meet at the Grange (7271 County Road 203) no later than 8:30 am. For those driving, the Orchard Hub is located at 13729 Rd 29, Dolores, CO.

Maria’s Literary Foundation's Second Annual Read-a-Thon Fundraiser takes place from April 10th through 20th. Details and sign up are available at mariasbookshop.com.
During the Read-a-Thon, volunteer readers sit and read in the front window of Maria’s Bookshop to raise money for the Literary Foundation’s Reading Room.

"Happy Brain, Happy Child" is a series of three workshops at the Durango Public Library designed to support parents and caregivers with understanding how children's brains grow, learn and thrive. Using accessible brain science and practical tools, each session explores ways adults can create supportive environments that nurture emotional regulation, resilience and lifelong learning. The first session, How to create a Healthy environment, will be held Saturday, April 11 from 10 to 11 a.m. Upcoming sessions will be held April 18 and April 25.
